Gizmo Girl: About Me!
I am an enthusiastic Longarm Educator from California's San Francisco Bay Area, where I happily reside with my husband and two sons. Fascinated by quilts since early childhood, I finally started quilting in 1996. After retiring early from a successful hairstyling career, I became a passionate professional Longarm quilter. When the waiting list for my services began to grow I began to educate other Longarm Quilters in my studio, at quilt shops and guilds to share the load. As an educator and representative for APQS, I am gratefully able to share my passion for education throughout the country. Besides being an award winner on the local and state level, my work has been published in Keep Quilting by Alex Anderson and 3 of my quilts can be seen in Christine Maraccini's Machine Quilting Solutions book by C&T Publishing. I have served my Guild as Quilt Show co-chair, Vice President, Hospitality, and Website chair. I am also an active participant in the Alden Lane Nursery's Quilting in the Garden event, and a current board member of Northern California's Quilt Council. Most recently I have been asked to be the Gizmo Girl for Alex Anderson and Ricky Tims' new Internet quilting show: The Quilt Show!
